My first experience with Habitat for Humanity was in the mid 1980's in Jacksonville, Florida. I was successful in obtaining enough 2 x 4's to construct a house. I was also active int he actual construction of the home. Locally, I have been associated with Habitat for 3 years. My greatest self gratification has been completing 100 holes of golf in the Annual Golf Marathon Fund Raiser, for the past 2 years, raising a considerable sum of money for Habitat. I have volunteered in the local ReStores for 2.5 years. Since I have been there the warehouse has gone from a dirty indoor flea market to a pleasant well organized business. This has been accomplished by dedicated employees and volunteers from local churches, businesses and schools. I am pleased to be a volunteer at the local Habitat ReStore. Sincerely, Carl Flury
